If you’re planning a trip to North Bali, one of the first questions is how much a private driver in Munduk will cost. The short answer: prices are set per car, not per person, so a couple, a family, or a group of friends all pay the same for the vehicle. Below is a clear breakdown of what we charge, what is included, and what you pay separately on the day. Prices are the ones listed on our package pages at the time of writing, so always check the page for the latest details.

- Coffee & Clove Gardens: from Rp 350k
- Banjar Hot Springs & Buddhist Temple: from Rp 550k

What is usually included
Each package includes a private car and driver for the time stated, and basics such as bottled water and parking where noted on the page. Check the “what’s included” list on each package, since it can differ slightly.
What you pay separately
Entrance tickets and local guide fees are paid directly at the site and are not part of the driver price. For example, Sekumpul requires a local guide (roughly Rp 150k to 250k per person), and Banyumala entrance is roughly Rp 40k per person. Lunch and any optional activities, such as a canoe ride on Lake Tamblingan, are also on your own account.
How to get the best value
- Share the car: because the price is per car, a group of three or four pays far less per person than a solo traveler.
- Combine stops in one day: a custom route can cost less than booking two separate tours. See the Custom Driver Tour.
- Book ahead in busy months: July, August and the Christmas period fill up first.
Is it cheaper than a taxi or scooter?
There is no dependable metered taxi service in the highlands, so a private driver is usually the practical choice. We explain the options in our Munduk transport and taxi guide, and you can check how to get to Munduk if you haven’t arranged your arrival yet.
